Remove electrolyte proteins in approximately 10 minutes
Product Features
The main features of this product are:
- Sample types:
EV fractions processed by size exclusion chromatography (SEC),
EV pellet from ultracentrifugation (UC), or
Sample processed by density gradient centrifugation (DGC).
LipoMin® Plus Spin-Column: A bead-free column architecture optimized for processing larger sample volumes (100–500 µL) with enhanced LDL depletion efficiency.
No additives, such as surfactants or polymers, are added to the sample, hence preserving sample quality. - Lipoprotein particles (LPs) in peripheral blood include high-density lipoprotein (HDL, 5–12 nm, 1.063–1.210 g/cm³), low-density lipoprotein (LDL, 18–25 nm, 1.019–1.063 g/cm³), intermediate-density lipoprotein (IDL, 25–35 nm, 1.006–1.019 g/cm³), and chylomicrons (75–1200 nm, <0.930 g/cm³). Exosomes are a subpopulation of extracellular vesicles (EVs) — 30–150 nm particles believed to be released from multivesicular endosomes (MVEs) following MVE fusion with the cell membrane. Exosomes are known to contain proteins, lipids, and nucleic acids representative of their cell of origin. Blood plasma contains roughly 2×10⁶ EVs per 1mL, several orders of magnitude fewer than LPs, which makes EV isolation extremely challenging.
- LipoMin® Plus is an optimized reagent for removing electrolyte proteins in approximately 10 minutes using functional magnetic beads or a spin column. LipoMin® Plus can process:
(a) EV fractions from size exclusion chromatography (SEC),
(b) EV pellet from ultracentrifugation (UC), or
(c) EVs from density gradient centrifugation.
